EquityOne Sports and the Village of Libertyville, Illinois recently teamed up to provide the residents of Libertyville with a state-of-the art Sports Complex. Located approximately 35 miles northwest of downtown Chicago, at the intersection of Route 45 and Peterson Road, in Central Lake County, the Libertyville Sports Complex covers 48 acres. It is comprised of four main elements; an Indoor Sports Center, a Golf Learning Center, a Family Entertainment Center, and a lighted softball field. Each element provides varied activities for people of all ages.



Indoor Sports Center - A 168,000 square foot, multi purpose recreational facility containing the following:
6 full sized basketball/volleyball courts
2 full sized indoor soccer/in-line hockey fields
2 micro soccer fields/basketball/volleyball courts
A ten station, 28 foot high, free standing climbing wall with bouldering area
4 batting cages
ﾼ mile walking path
Fitness center
Aerobics center
Spinning room
Corporate training center

Two story atrium lobby with control desk

Golf Learning Center - An 80 station golf driving range containing the following:
A heated, two story, 40 station, automated tee facility for year round use
A 40 station outdoor tee area with natural grass and artificial mats
A private golf lesson area with 20 outdoor grass tees
Chipping green
Putting green
A 3,000 square foot clubhouse with pro shop, food service and meeting room


Family Entertainment Center containing the following amenities:
An 18-hole adventure-style miniature golf course for advanced play
A 9 hole micro miniature golf course for beginners
An 8 station batting facility with 10 pitching machines including slow and fast pitch softball machines and variable speed baseball machines designed to maximize use.
A 3,000 square foot clubhouse with food service, party and game rooms, and staff offices.


Softball Field
A fully fenced and lighted softball field designed to accommodate league and recreational play for adults, young adults and children as well as overflow needs for the local Little League.


This $25 million project was developed to provide multiple recreational opportunities to the users and a positive cash flow to the Village of Libertyville.
